The Santa Maria - 14k solid gold - expertly produced in Italy for Babyanything by my close partners I have worked with since the inception of my cult classic medallion the Aurora Luna.
I searched high and low for them because they have been making pressed medallions for centuries. That history is important to me.

I’m not religious in a sense that I devote my spirituality to one clear script. I use a lot of saints and iconography in my jewellery because I do see the power in belief and having faith in something.

I learn the meanings and the stories behind each saint I choose and sometimes they choose me.

Mary or Guadalupe chose me. My family home had statues of her everywhere, my mother loved the idea of her as a symbol of female devotion to one’s self and others.
We had statues from many other religions and countries and each one just got on happily together.

I wanted to make sure this medallion with shining rays of sun - diamond cut from the sandblasted section in the middle so you literally felt her glow when you wore her.
Sometimes you just want to feel a little love and that is what she represents - pure love and devotion.

I think about the babes that will take her home for their collections and I know she’d be happy with all of us, spreading love in the ways that we can on the different journeys our life takes us on.
